The PIC32CK GC Curiosity Ultra Kit is a hardware platform intended to speed up the development process for PIC32CK GC microcontroller designs. The PIC32CK GC series of MCUs is our first Cortex-M33 microcontroller with a wide range of connectivity options including Ethernet, CAN FD, HS & FS USB, I2S, I2C, SPI, etc. that can implement such functionality and applications such as industrial gateways, graphics, and automotive applications.

The inclusion of an HSM provides a high level of security for authentication, secure debug, secure boot and secure updates, while TrustZone technology provides an additional level of protection for key software functions. The HSM can accelerate a wide range of symmetric and asymmetric cryptography standards, true random number generation and secure key management.

The PIC32CK MCUs from Microchip are designed to support ISO 26262 functional safety and ISO/SAE 21434 cybersecurity standards. For increased flexibility and cost efficiency, the PIC32CK MCU family offers a wide range of options to tune the level of security, memory and connectivity bandwidth based on the end application’s requirements. Options include up to 2 MB dual-panel Flash and 512 KB SRAM.

Highlights

  • Using high-precision architectures enables superior DC performance, regardless of operating conditions
  • Low noise and additional EMI filtering on the inputs provide additional protection in electrically noisy environments
  • Small packages, such as leadless DFNs, are ideal for space-constrained designs
  • A wide operating temperature range of –40°C to +125°C provides a robust solution even at extreme temperatures

Microchip Instrumentation Amplifier with mCAL Technology

The MCP6N11 and MCP6V2x Wheatstone Bridge Reference Design demonstrates the performance of Microchip's MCP6N11 instrumentation amplifier (INA) and a traditional three op amp INA using Microchip's MCP6V26 and MCP6V27 auto-zeroed op amps. The input signal comes from an RTD temperature sensor in a Wheatstone bridge. Real world interference is added to the bridge's output, to provide realistic performance comparisons. Data is gathered and displayed on a PC, for ease of use. The USB PIC® microcontroller and included Graphical User Interface (GUI) provides the means to configure the board and collect sample data.
