Join Microchip’s Power Supply Week training. Three free one hour webinars will be presented by Microchip experts and will highlight how to optimize power density and footprint in embedded systems, and outline solutions for developing digital power and high-power SiC applications.

Monday 26th April, 14:00 CET: Microchip Power Management for Embedded Systems

This session focuses on how to build flexible and powerful systems while optimizing system performance using Microchip’s power management solutions in combination with our MCUs, DSPs, MPUs, and FPGAs. Microchip’s power management solutions can reduce the total footprint size of your design, maximize power density and save valuable PCB space, and are fully designed, tested and validated to exceed the power requirements of your embedded application.

Tuesday 27th April, 14:00 CET: Digital Power Solutions and dsPIC33 Family Overview

This webinar will provide an insight into Microchip's digital power development with a focus on dsPIC33 digital power product family, a look at available wireless power and wireless charging solutions, Digitally controlled Power Factor Correction PFC Solutions and take a look at a variety of different available tools, demoboards and a range of different power topologies building blocks ready for you to be utilized.

Wednesday 28th April, 14:00 CET: SiC ‘High Power’ Solutions

Are you looking to improve the efficiency, ruggedness and power density of your high-power designs? This session will provide an overview of 700V, 1200V & 1700V SiC Mosfet, SiC diode solutions and associated gate driving for industrial applications, medical applications, transportation and aerospace & defense applications.

Highlights

  • Using high-precision architectures enables superior DC performance, regardless of operating conditions
  • Low noise and additional EMI filtering on the inputs provide additional protection in electrically noisy environments
  • Small packages, such as leadless DFNs, are ideal for space-constrained designs
  • A wide operating temperature range of –40°C to +125°C provides a robust solution even at extreme temperatures

Microchip Instrumentation Amplifier with mCAL Technology

The MCP6N11 and MCP6V2x Wheatstone Bridge Reference Design demonstrates the performance of Microchip's MCP6N11 instrumentation amplifier (INA) and a traditional three op amp INA using Microchip's MCP6V26 and MCP6V27 auto-zeroed op amps. The input signal comes from an RTD temperature sensor in a Wheatstone bridge. Real world interference is added to the bridge's output, to provide realistic performance comparisons. Data is gathered and displayed on a PC, for ease of use. The USB PIC® microcontroller and included Graphical User Interface (GUI) provides the means to configure the board and collect sample data.
